Dr. Hasanul A. Hasan begins tenure as Chairman and Ishtiaque Abedin Vice Chairman of AIUB Board of Trustees

Dr. Hasanul A. Hasan, Founder Member of the American International University-Bangladesh (AIUB), has been appointed as Chairman of the University’s Board of Trustees, while Founder Member Mr. Ishtiaque Abedin has been appointed Vice Chairman. The decision was made at the 202nd meeting of the Board of Trustees held on Wednesday (September 9).

As Founder Members of AIUB, Dr. Hasanul A. Hasan and Mr. Ishtiaque Abedin have played significant roles in the University’s institutional development, enhancement of the quality of education and research, and implementation of its long-term strategic plans.

Dr. Hasanul A. Hasan is a successful businessman and educationist. He serves as Chairman of Chemlube Limited, the sole distributor of MAK Lubricants in Bangladesh. He is also the Managing Director of American Dairy Limited (ADL) and Chairman of Subaru Bangladesh Limited.

Mr. Ishtiaque Abedin, Founder Member and Vice Chairman of AIUB, is also a successful businessman and educationist. He currently serves as Secretary General of the Association of Private Universities of Bangladesh (APUB) and has been actively contributing to the development and advancement of higher education in Bangladesh. In addition to his role on the AIUB Board of Trustees, Mr. Ishtiaque Abedin serves as Chairman of American Dairy Limited and Managing Director of Chemlube Limited, Shanzaib Limited, and Shanzaib Food & Beverage Limited.
