Mimi Chakraborty may tie the knot in December: Reports

Speculation surrounding a possible wedding of popular Tollywood actress Mimi Chakraborty has intensified, with reports suggesting that she may tie the knot in December this year.

The actress, who rose to widespread popularity with the film ‘Bojhena Bojhena’, returned to the spotlight among audiences on both sides of the Bengal border through Shakib Khan-starrer ‘Toofan’. Now, it is her personal life that has sparked fresh speculation.

Several Indian media outlets have reported that Mimi may get married by the end of this year. Citing a source in Tollywood, the reports claim that the wedding ceremony could take place in Kalimpong in December.

However, curiosity has centred mainly on the identity of her rumoured future husband. According to the reports, the prospective groom is not from the entertainment industry. He is said to be a naval officer named Siddharth.

Mimi Chakraborty, however, has not made any official announcement regarding the reports so far.

Mimi made her big-screen debut in 2012 with ‘Bapi Bari Ja’. She subsequently established herself as a prominent actress through several films, including ‘Bojhena Bojhena’.

Alongside her acting career, Mimi entered politics in 2019. She won the Lok Sabha election from the Jadavpur constituency and became a Member of Parliament.

The actress is currently busy with several projects, including Srijit Mukherji’s ‘Emperor vs Sarat Chandra’. The film is expected to hit theatres during the Durga Puja festivities.

Amid the wedding reports, curiosity has grown among Mimi’s fans. It remains to be seen when the actress will officially respond to the speculation surrounding her reported wedding.
