Three more people died with measles symptoms in the past 24 hours, taking the nationwide death toll from measles and related symptoms since March 15 to 1,012.
The deaths included one in Dhaka division and two in Chattogram division, according to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS)'s regular measles report issued on Friday.
Of the total deaths, 912 were people with measles symptoms and 100 were confirmed measles cases.
Meanwhile, 34 new measles cases were detected and 1,077 people developed measles symptoms in the past 24 hours.
Since March 15, a total of 169,822 people have developed measles symptoms, while 19,967 have been diagnosed with measles, the DGHS said.
A total of 149,471 people with measles symptoms have been admitted to hospitals during the period. Of them, 143,864 have recovered and been discharged.
