Dengue death toll rises to 141

Two more people died of dengue in the past 24 hours, taking the country's dengue death toll this year to 141.

A total of 790 new dengue patients were admitted to hospitals during the period, according to a press release issued by the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) on Friday.

The DGHS said 49,220 people have been infected with dengue so far this year.

Of the new cases, 372 were reported in Dhaka division, the highest among all divisions. Chattogram reported 196 cases, Mymensingh 73, Khulna 60, Rangpur 38, Rajshahi 33 and Barishal 18.
