Houthi forces have seized complete control over Yemen's entire Red Sea coastline and key offshore islands following a rapid military offensive in the Bab el-Mandeb region.

Advancing southward after government-aligned forces withdrew from the strategic port city of Mokha, Houthi fighters met minimal resistance as they captured the coastal towns of Dubab and Murad.

Following their coastal advance, Houthi amphibious units deployed via armed boats to seize Mayyun Island (Perim Island) inside the Bab el-Mandeb Strait after government troops pulled out.

The group also launched rocket attacks and ground assaults to capture Zuqar Island and advance toward the Hanish Islands, securing full territorial control over positions overlooking the vital maritime trade corridor.
