One killed, another injured in Dhaka-Mawa Expressway motorcycle crash

One Saudi expatriate was killed and another youth was injured after a motorcycle lost control on the Dhaka-Mawa Expressway in Sirajdikhan, Munshiganj on Friday morning.

The deceased was identified as Hridoy, 27, of Abdullahpur in South Keraniganj. The injured youth has been identified as Sajjad, 24, hailing from Uttar Ghoramara in Sirajdikhan.

The accident occurred around 6:21 AM on the slope of Kuchiamora Bridge on the Dhaka-bound lane.

According to fire service and locals, Hridoy and Sajjad were returning from Mawa with a group of friends when the motorcycle lost control at very high speed and crashed.

Hridoy died on the spot while the injured Sajjad was taken to hospital after rescue and his body was handed over to highway police.

Hridoy had returned home from Saudi Arabia around four months ago and was scheduled to return within a few days. He was married and had one daughter.
