Bangladesh will open their inaugural FIFA ASEAN Cup 2026 campaign against Malaysia on September 25 in Jakarta, following the official release of the tournament schedule by FIFA and the Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF).

The tournament, running from September 24 to October 5, features 14 teams across two divisions. Bangladesh was included as a guest nation alongside Pakistan in Division 1. The red-and-green brigade was drawn into Group A alongside Malaysia, Singapore, and hosts Indonesia.

According to the finalized schedule, Bangladesh will play Malaysia at 3:00 PM BST on September 25 at the Gelora Bung Karno Stadium in Jakarta.

Three days later, on September 28, they will take on Singapore at 3:00 PM BST at the same venue. Bangladesh will conclude their Group A fixtures against host nation Indonesia on October 1 at 6:30 PM BST.

Following the group stage, every team in Division 1 is guaranteed a fourth match. Bangladesh will face the corresponding seed from Group B - which comprises Thailand, Vietnam, the Philippines, and Pakistan - in a placement fixture to decide the final tournament standings. The winner of Group A will advance directly to the Division 1 final on October 5.
