22nd academic council meeting of AAUB held.

The 22nd Academic Council Meeting of Aviation and Aerospace University, Bangladesh (AAUB) was held at the Conference Room of the University’s Dhaka Campus. The meeting was chaired by the Vice-Chancellor of AAUB, Air Vice Marshal M Mustafizur Rahman, BSP, GUP, nswc, afwc, psc, GD(P).


Welcoming the members, the Vice-Chancellor said that the rapid advancement of aviation, aerospace and space technologies, together with the growing application of Artificial Intelligence (AI), autonomous systems, robotics and data-driven technologies, is transforming the sector at an unprecedented pace. In this evolving environment, higher education must go beyond conventional curricula and be closely integrated with research, innovation and emerging technologies.

Particular importance is being given to the integration of Artificial Intelligence with aviation and aerospace technologies, creating opportunities for advanced research in areas such as AI-enabled aircraft maintenance and operations, data links, unmanned aerial systems, space systems and advanced engineering design.

The Vice-Chancellor observed that the role of a modern university is not merely to disseminate existing knowledge, but also to create contemporary and up-to-date knowledge, develop new technologies through research and innovation and generate solutions suited to national needs. With this vision, AAUB continues to work towards strengthening indigenous capability, technological self-reliance and the development of internationally competent human resources in the aviation and aerospace sectors.

During the meeting, a brief overview of the major academic and administrative activities undertaken since the 21st Academic Council Meeting was presented. The Council also discussed curriculum development, future plans for higher education and research, and initiatives for further enhancement of academic quality.

The 22nd Academic Council Meeting was attended by AAUB members as well as Academic Council members representing the Bangladesh Air Force, Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET), Bangladesh Maritime University (BMU), Bangladesh University of Professionals (BUP), and Military Institute of Science and Technology (MIST).
