Firefighters brought a blaze at an Apex footwear showroom in Dhanmondi-27 under control after a two-hour operation on Thursday (September 10).
Four firefighting units worked at the scene to extinguish the flames at around 12:00 PM.
The Fire Service and Civil Defense control room received information about the fire around 10:00 AM.
Responding to the call, four units from nearby stations rushed to the spot and immediately initiated operations. Fire service duty officer Khaleda Yasmin confirmed the development.
She stated that the fire was successfully brought under control at 12:00 PM following continuous efforts. However, the cause of the fire and the extent of financial damages could not be determined immediately.
Fire service officials said further investigation will reveal the origin and total damage caused by the incident.
