Opposition MPs walk out of parliament

Opposition lawmakers walked out of parliament on Sunday night in protest against two bills.

Led by Opposition Leader and Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer Dr Shafiqur Rahman, the MPs staged the walkout around 8pm.

They opposed the National Human Rights Commission Bill, 2026 and the Prevention and Remedy of Enforced Disappearance Bill, 2026 during the session chaired by Speaker Hafiz Uddin Ahmed Bir Bikram before leaving the chamber.
