Bulbul Ahmed’s memorabilia preserved at Film Archive

The awards, honours and personal memorabilia of legendary Bangladeshi actor Bulbul Ahmed have been handed over to the Bangladesh Film Archive for permanent preservation.

His wife Daisy Ahmed and daughter Tahsin Farzana Tilottoma recently handed over the collection to Bangladesh Film Archive Director General M Javed Iqbal, marking the actor’s birthday on September 4.

The family donated the items to preserve them as part of the country’s cultural heritage and honour Bulbul Ahmed’s contribution to Bangladeshi cinema.

The collection will allow film enthusiasts, researchers and future generations to learn more about the actor’s life, work and achievements.

Bulbul Ahmed’s family and admirers observe his birthday every year through various programmes. Although no special event was organised this year, the family chose to mark the occasion by donating the awards and memorabilia from his career to the Film Archive Museum.

Bulbul Ahmed was a prominent figure in the history of Bangladeshi cinema. His performances and contributions to the film industry earned him lasting recognition among audiences.

The preserved collection will remain available as part of Bangladesh’s cultural heritage and provide future generations with an opportunity to explore his legacy.
