Bangladesh faces Syria today

Bangladesh take on Syria in their crucial second Group B match of the AFC U-20 Asian Cup qualification at the Do'stlik Stadium in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, today (Thursday).

The match kicks off at 5 pm Bangladesh time.

Bangladesh, currently at the bottom of the group table, must win against Syria to remain in contention for qualification.

The eight group winners and seven best runners-up from the qualifying round will advance to the AFC U-20 Asian Cup finals.

Bangladesh will play their final group match against India on September 6 at the same venue.

Earlier, Bangladesh made a losing start to the tournament, suffering a 2-0 defeat to hosts Uzbekistan while Syria conceded a solitary-goal defeat to India.
