Minister of Power, Energy and Mineral Resources Iqbal Hasan Mahmud is now in stable health condition.
Officials of Ibrahim Cardiac Hospital stated the the development in a press release on Wednesday (September 2).
In the statement, they informed that he was admitted at the hospital with fever, breathing trouble and cough. His health status is now stable; however, he needs to stay in hospital for some more days to be under treatment and observation.
The 76-year-old minister was admitted at the emergency department of the hospital with fever, breathing problem and coughing. He had a history of suffering from diabetes and high blood pressure problems. Recently he had undergone a heart stent operation in Bangkok.
His preliminary examination at the emergency department revealed that he was having breathing problem and low blood oxygen. He got necessary treatments and was then admitted at the CCU of the hospital for further tests and observations.
Three member medical panel was set up right away to look after his treatment.
