Dhaka College will begin online applications for admission to Class XI for the 2026 -27 academic year on September 2, with 500 additional seats taking the total intake to 1,700 students.
College Vice-Principal Professor Anwar Mahmud confirmed the matter, saying the additional seats would be allocated across the science, humanities and business studies streams.
Students with the highest marks will be selected for admission following scrutiny of applications.
According to the admission notice signed by the college principal, students must have a minimum GPA of 5.00 for science, 4.75 for business studies and 4.50 for humanities.
Online applications will be accepted from September 2 until 8:00 PM on September 10. Students whose results change following re-scrutiny or re-evaluation will be able to apply on September 12 and 13 until 8:00 PM. They will also be allowed to change their preference order during this period.
The results of the selected students will be published at 8:00 PM on September 16. Selected candidates must confirm their admission by 8:00 PM on September 18, while migration results based on preference order will be published at 8:00 PM on September 19.
Final admission at Dhaka College will take place from September 20 to 22, and classes for the new Class XI students will begin on September 23.
The admission process will be conducted in three phases by the education boards. A student will be selected for only one college based on merit and preference and must pay Tk 40 online for registration and other fees to complete the initial admission confirmation.
