Rain, thunderstrorm likely in Dhaka, adjacent area by 1 PM

The sky over Dhaka and its adjoining areas may remain partly cloudy for the next six hours from this morning.

Rain and thunderstorms are also likely during this period, according to a forecast issued

for the six hours from 7am on Tuesday (September 1).

According to the forecast, winds may blow from the south or southeast at a speed of 10 to 15 kilometres per hour during this time. The day’s temperature may fall slightly. Rain or thundershowers may occur at some places

The temperature in Dhaka was recorded at 28.0 degrees Celsius at 6am on Tuesday, while the relative humidity was 83 percent. The highest temperature recorded yesterday was 33.5 degrees Celsius. Today’s minimum temperature was 27.8 degrees Celsius.

The amount of rainfall recorded in the past 24 hours was 1 millimetre.
