Rashid Latif calls PCB worst in 70 years

Former Pakistan captain Rashid Latif has described the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) as the country's worst cricket administration in 70 years, following the team's successive Test defeats in England.

Pakistan lost the first Test by 103 runs and the second by 194 runs, prompting criticism of the team and calls for changes within the setup.

British media had earlier described the current Pakistan side as the country's worst team in 50 years. Latif, however, said the PCB should also be held responsible for the team's decline.

Speaking to Geo News, Latif said while everyone was criticising the Pakistan team, few were questioning the board.

“This is the worst Pakistan cricket team in 50 years. That may be true. But no one is talking about the current cricket board. It is the worst cricket board in 70 years,” he said.

Latif said the board's selection committee and coaches were responsible for choosing the current squad, adding that Pakistan had little chance of winning and could continue to suffer Test defeats.
