Authorities have taken an initiative to send 10,000 Bangladeshi workers who were unable to travel to Malaysia at no additional cost.
The development was disclosed in a report submitted to the High Court by the authorities concerned.
According to the report, 17,077 workers, out of the 33,000 Bangladeshis scheduled to travel to Malaysia, were affected after failing to make the journey.
Of the affected workers, 10,000 will be sent to Malaysia without having to bear any additional expenses, the report said.
The report was submitted to the High Court as part of the authorities’ response to the situation involving the affected migrant workers.
