Bangladesh has agreed to purchase additional Boeing aircraft from the United States, potentially spending several billion dollars to significantly expand its initial order, according to Sergio Gor, US Special Envoy for South and Central Asian Affairs.
Gor disclosed this in a post on his social media account on X, formerly Twitter, late Sunday night.
''This week, US President Trump and the Prime Minister of Bangladesh struck another incredible deal,” Gor wrote. “Bangladesh has agreed to spend several billion dollars to purchase more Boeing aircraft, significantly expanding their initial order.”
Gor, who is also the US ambassador to India, said the agreement was part of President Donald Trump’s efforts to boost American jobs, attract investment and revive the US economy.
