Several cases were filed against Alamgir after August 5, 2024, including a murder case in Raozan of Chattogram, cases over the burning of battery-run three-wheelers and vehicles in Chakaria, and cases under the Special Powers Act.
His brother, Bitu, said Alamgir had obtained bail from the High Court in those cases.
“After August 5, 2024, my brother was implicated in several cases. He secured bail from the High Court in those cases.”
Alamgir is also an accused in a case filed under the Special Powers Act by a resident of Nijpanikhali area of Chakaria municipality. His family claims the complainant has since submitted a compromise petition to the court.
