Four more children died with measles symptoms in the last 24 hours, taking the total number of deaths from confirmed measles and related symptoms to 967 since March 15.
According to the Directorate General of Health Services' latest measles report released on Sunday afternoon, no child died from confirmed measles during the 24-hour period. However, 365 children were newly confirmed with measles, while 1,151 others developed measles symptoms.
During the same period, 1,090 children were admitted to hospitals and 1,028 were discharged after recovery.
Since March 15, 868 children have died with measles symptoms, while 99 others died from confirmed measles.
The total number of suspected measles cases during the period stood at 156,829, including 19,218 confirmed cases, according to the DGHS.
A total of 137,347 patients were admitted to hospitals, of whom 132,292 have recovered and been discharged.
