Three officers have been appointed as new superintendents of police (SPs) in three districts, while six other officers have been transferred to different units of the police.
The transfers were announced through three separate notifications issued by the Police-1 Branch of the Ministry of Home Affairs on Sunday. Deputy Secretary Towsif Ahmed signed the notifications on behalf of the President.
SP of Madaripur Md Habibur Rahman has been appointed as the new SP of Narayanganj. Police Bureau of Investigation (PBI) SP Md Falz-e-Elahi has been appointed SP of Madaripur, while Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) officer Muhammad Talebur Rahman has been appointed SP of Pirojpur.
Pirojpur SP Mohammad Manzur Ahmed Siddiqui has been transferred to the Criminal Investigation Department (CID).
In another notification, Police Staff College SP Shamima Yasmin was transferred to Dhaka’s TDS, while DMP Deputy Commissioner Md Jasim Uddin was transferred to the Police Training Centre (PTC) in Noakhali. Rashida Begum, SP at the office of the Mymensingh Range DIG, was transferred to the Police Staff College.
In a separate notification, Additional Police Commissioner of Chattogram Metropolitan Police (CMP) Wahidul Haque Chowdhury was transferred to the Tourist Police as an additional deputy inspector general (DIG).
Meanwhile, Additional DIG at the Chattogram Range DIG office Nazmul Hasan was transferred to the Khulna Metropolitan Police (KMP) as an additional police commissioner.
