185 syrup bottles seized, two held in Jashore

Two persons have been arrested along with 185 bottles of illegal drug syrup in Jashore’s Shankarpur Jamadarpara locality.

The raid took place on Friday (August 28), carried out by a RAB-6, CPC-3, Jashore Camp unit on the basis of an information. From the possession of the duo, 105 bottles of Wincerex and 80 bottles of Eskuf syrup have been seized.

The arrested people are Md Mashiul Alam, 55, son of the late Tafsil Uddin, and Aklema Khatun, 43, daughter of Ajibor Rahman, who hail from Shankarpur Jamadarpara locality.

According to RAB, the seized syrups have been confiscated as illegal narcotics. A case has been filed against the duo under the Narcotics Control Act at Jashore Kotwali Model Police Station.
