Putin, Leaders of 6 other countries congratulate Mirza Fakhrul

Russian President Vladimir Putin and the leaders of six other countries have congratulated Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir on assuming office as President of Bangladesh.

The President’s Press Wing at Bangabhaban confirmed the development on Friday (August 28).

Following Fakhrul’s assumption of office, the heads of state and government of several European and Central Asian countries sent messages conveying their greetings and best wishes.

Those extending congratulations include Russian President Vladimir Putin, along with the presidents and heads of government of Belarus, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Turkmenistan, Kazakhstan and Montenegro.

The messages conveyed their greetings to Mirza Fakhrul on his appointment as the President of Bangladesh.
