The third session of the 13th National Parliament sits on Thursday (August 27) afternoon.

The sitting will commence at 3 PM. Observers consider this session significant for deliberations on key political and national issues.

Security measures have been intensified around the Parliament Complex and adjacent areas ahead of the session.

To maintain law and order, authorities banned all rallies, processions, and demonstrations in the surrounding zones.

Concerned authorities urged everyone to comply with security guidelines during the session. Officials warned that strict legal action will be taken against any disruption or law violation.

Meanwhile, Chief Whip of Parliament Nurul Islam Moni stated that forming parliamentary standing committees will receive top priority during this third session.

He noted that the relevant committees will be finalized immediately upon receiving nominated names from the opposition.

The Chief Whip added that the third session may remain brief, lasting 5, 7, or 10 days, though its duration could be extended if necessary.
