Seven more children died with measles symptoms across the country in the past 24 hours, taking the total number of such deaths to 950, according to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).
Meanwhile, 1,171 children were reported to have measles or symptoms associated with the disease, the DGHS said in its latest measles update issued Wednesday afternoon (August 26).
The health authorities clarified, however, that none of the seven deaths reported in the past 24 hours has been confirmed as a death caused by measles.
The latest figures are part of the DGHS's ongoing monitoring of the measles situation across the country.
