KUET 1st year admission test will be held in Khulna, Dhaka and Rajshahi on January 8, according to officials.

This decision was taken at the 118th special meeting of the university's 2026 Academic Council held today, Tuesday (August 25), after discussion on the various issues related to student admission at the undergraduate level.

According to the decision, this year's 1st Year Honors’ admission test will be held in three divisional cities - Khulna, Dhaka, and Rajshahi. The admission test will be conducted in the MCQ method. For this purpose, an admission test committee has been formed.

It has been decided that to conduct the admission test in the aforementioned three divisional cities in order to facilitate the opportunity for students from different regions to participate in the admission test, while also reducing their transportation and accommodation-related problems.

Eligible students from different parts of the country will get the opportunity to participate in the admission test in three divisional cities relatively close to their respective regions.

The application process for the admission test, educational qualifications, exam schedule, seating arrangement and other necessary instructions will be published later through the university's admission notice.

Due to these decisions, KUET authorities hopes that students from different regions will have a much easier, more comfortable and a hassle-free time participating in the admission tests. This is also expected to make the admission process much easier, more transparent, more orderly, and more student-friendly, in addition to reducing the inconvenience related to travel and accommodation.
