
Shamim Patowary struck an unbeaten 51 as Bangladesh High Performance (HP) secured their third consecutive win in the Top End T20 series, beating Victoria Cricket Academy by six wickets in Darwin on Monday.
Chasing 132, Bangladesh lost three wickets inside the powerplay and were soon reduced to further trouble after Sabbir Rahman, who scored a fifty in the previous match, was dismissed for five.
Captain Irfan Shukkur and Shamim then steadied the innings with an 83-run partnership. Shukkur scored 43 off 32 balls before being dismissed, while Shamim remained unbeaten on 51. Abdul Gaffar Saklain finished on six not out as Bangladesh reached the target comfortably.
Earlier, Victoria Cricket Academy were bowled out for 131 in 19.1 overs after Bangladesh captain Shukkur opted to field.
Mohammad Rubel was the pick of the Bangladesh bowlers with four wickets, while Rakibul Hasan took three. Abdul Gaffar Saklain and Ripon Mondol claimed one wicket each.
Victoria captain Sam Harper top-scored with 49, while Sutherland added 30.
