Lyricist Rafiquzzaman felicitated

Veteran lyricist Mohammad Rafiquzzaman turned 75 on February 11. To observe his birthday Nibedon an organistation for music arranged a felicitation porgramme on February 12 at the Music and Dance Auditorium of Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy in the capital. Oral artiste Asharful Alam, vocal artistes Kanak Chapa and Subir Nandi, poet Asad Chowdhury, president of Nibedon Biswajit Rai and a number of other members of the music and culture circle were present at the programme. The lyricist said that he is now backing down with age. Rather he looks to live up to it and send messages of his experience to youths. In the ongoing book fair a song collection of the lyricist has also been published by Hawladar Prokashoni under the title "Hridoyer Dhoniguli."
