Man dies falling from tree in Rajbari

RAJBARI, June 14: An elderly man died after falling from a tree while trying to prune the tree in Kazibadha Village of Sadar Upazila of the district on Saturday morning.
The deceased was Md Abdus Salam Mandal, 64, son of Moyenuddin Mandal of the village.
According to family sources, the eldest daughter, Nurjahan, said that while pruning a tree near her house at around 9:45 am, he suddenly fell from the tree to the ground. When locals took him to Rajbari Sadar Hospital, the on-duty doctor Abul Kalam Azad declared him dead.
Officer-in-Charge of Rajbari Sadar Police Station Uttam Kumar Ghosh confirmed the incident.
