Cycle rally held in Pabna for energy awareness

PABNA, June 6: A cycle rally was held in Pabna to increase environmental awareness and energy conservation on the occasion of World Environment Day on Saturday.

The cycle rally organised by the Green Growth Foundation was inaugurated by Dr. Ahmed Mostafa Noman, Member Secretary of the Doctors Association of Bangladesh (DAB) Pabna District Branch.

The rally started from the Pabna Edward College ground, circled the town's main roads, and ended in front of the mental hospital. Students from various educational institutions, members of voluntary organisations, environmental activists, and conscious citizens participated in the rally. The participants called for reducing dependence on increasing the use of bicycles as an environmentally friendly means of transport.

UNESCO National Commission Programme Officer Dr. Hafiz Iqbal, Green Growth Foundation Founding President Mahfuzur Rahman Shrawan, and others were present at the event.
