5 killed in bus-ambulance collision in Faridpur

Five passengers of a ambulance were killed after the vehicle collided with a BRTC bus in Faridpur's Nagarkanda upazila on Sunday morning.

The accident occurred approximately 10:30AM on the Dhaka-Barishal highway.

The deceased could not be identified yet.

A BRTC passenger bus travelling between Faridpur Sadar and Bhanga collided head-on with an oncoming ambulance on the highway, leaving the ambulance twisted and killing five of its passengers on the spot, according to local residence and highway police.

Getting information, members of the highway police and Nagarkanda Fire Service rushed to the scene and recovered the bodies.
