Rickshaw puller murdered in Meherpur

MEHERPUR, May 6: A rickshaw puller was killed after his cousin stabbed him with a sharp weapon over a trifling matter on Tuesday night. 

The deceased Golam Hossain, 46, was the son of Reshan Ali of Shaikhpara in Meherpur Town. 
Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Meherpur Sadar Police Station Humayun Kabir said that Samirul Islam alias Kalu and Golam Hossain are cousins. On May 2, when Golam Hossain was returning home, his neighbour Kalu's wall was broken by rickshaw. 

During an argument at that time, Golam assured to rebuild the wall. On the following day he rebuilt the wall but could not install the tin gate. On Tuesday evening, an argument started between Golam Hossain and Kalu. At one point, Kalu stabbed Golam with a sharp knife. Seriously injured Golam was taken to Meherpur General Hospital where he was declared dead.
