A new five-member convening committee of Rangpur Bibhag Samity-Dhaka was formed unanimously on Saturday in an emergency special meeting of the organization, according to a press release.

The emergency meeting was held under the chairmanship of its Founding President Advocate Abdullah Al Naser --also attended by founding members.

The meeting unanimously dissolved the previous inactive convening committee and formed the new committee comprising founding members.

According to the constitution, the new convening committee will publish notices in two national newspapers within the next 90 days and arrange a general meeting to form a full executive committee.

Newly made members are: Convener Advocate Abdullah Al Naser; Members Monju Ara Begum, Khaleda Khanam, Abdul Matin Sarker, and Rinku Ghosh; Member Secretary S. M. Amjad Hossain Dipti.

It was stated in the meeting that most members of the previous committee had fled Bangladesh due to their association with the ousted Awami League regime. Additionally, as more than half of the members, including the president of the former committee, left the country during the previous government's tenure, the organization's activities became stagnant and inactive. As a result, the founding members decided to dissolve the previous committee.
