NAOGAON, Apr 24: The Bangladesh Lawyers Council District Branch felicitated 88 new lawyers at the District Bar Association auditorium on Thursday afternoon.

The chief guest at the event was Barrister ASM Shahriar Kabir Pulak, a lawyer of the Supreme Court of Bangladesh. Advocate Dewan Mahbub Ali Shuja, President of the Bangladesh Lawyers Council District Branch, chaired the event. General Secretary Advocate Abdur Rahim moderated the event.

The event was also addressed by District Bar Association President MHM Jahangir Alam, District Jamaat President Abdur Rakib, Secretary Advocate ASM Sayem, Nayeb-e-Ameer Professor Mohiuddin and others. Later, 88 new lawyers were presented with crests, flowers and a book each.

Chief guest Barrister ASM Shahriar Kabir Pulak said, "During the Awami League era, the Awami League lawyers produced the most bribe-takers. Many people are upset by this statement. Why do we say that judges take bribes? But who is paying the bribe? It's you." He urged young lawyers to study and practice more.
