Two ‘robbers’ held with arms, ammo in Bhola

 
BHOLA, Apr 20: The Coast Guard has arrested two suspected robbers along with firearms and ammunition in Daulatkhan Upazila of Bhola.

The arrests were made during an operation conducted late Sunday night by the Coast Guard South Zone, officials said.
The detained individuals were identified as Md Jasim Hawlader, 45, of Char Pata union, and Mohammad Jasim Uddin, 50, of Char Khalifa union in the upazila.

Confirming the matter in a press release on Monday, Coast Guard media officer Lieutenant Commander Sabbir Alam Sujan said the operation was launched based on intelligence reports.

Coast Guard Officials said the seized weapons and ammunition have been confiscated as evidence.

The Coast Guard further stated that such operations will continue in the future to maintain law and order and ensure public safety across the coastal region.
