Unidentified woman’s severed body recovered from Bogra-Natore highway

Police recovered a body of an unidentified woman from Nandigram upazila of Bogura district on Sunday morning.

According to local sources, the body was found early in the morning in a scattered condition on the road at Bogra-Natore highway in the Katam Beragari area of  the upazila.
 
They said that an elderly destitute woman used to roam this stretch of the highway and they suspect that it might be she. She was hit by a vehicle during the night.

Witnesses stated that as the body remained on the busy highway for a long period, it was repeatedly run over by multiple vehicles.

Ganesh Chandra Roy, Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) of Kundarhat Highway Police Station, said that the police moved the body parts to the morgue at Shaheed Ziaur Rahman Medical College Hospital for an autopsy.

Authorities are currently working to identify the victim body.
