Teen killed in Barguna as auto-rickshaw hits him

A teenager tragically died after being hit by an autorickshaw at Amtoli upazila of Barguna district.

The accident occurred on Monday morning at North Tepura Bazar intersection under Haldia union of the upazila.

The deceased was identified as Junayed, 12, son of Md. Abu Sayeed of Naluabagi village of Golkhali union of Galachipa upazila.

According to local sources, Junayed and his elder brother were sitting at Gazi Kalur Dargah for Urosh Mahfil. In the morning, the elder brother sent him home with some goods. 

On his way home, an auto-rickshaw driver lost control while driving at a reckless speed and hit Junayed.

This impact his death on the spot. A woman in the auto-rickshaw was also injured at that time.

Confirming the death, Amtali Police Station investigation officer Md. Saidul Islam said that the body of the deceased was brought to the police station. 

The body was handed over to the family as there were no complaint, the police official added.
