A grim picture of fuel crisis in Narail

Published : Thursday, 2 April, 2026 at 12:00 AM  Count : 56
Dear sir,

Fuel is central to our daily life, transportation, production, and market systems. Any inequality in its distribution creates chaos in public life. At several fuel pumps in Narail, this disorderly distribution is now visible. Instead of fueling vehicles in the queue, large amounts of fuel are being taken in tubs, drums, and various containers.

Simultaneously, some pre-selected individuals are brought to the front of the bike line, displacing ordinary people, and given fuel on a priority basis. As a result, most vehicles in the queue do not receive fuel even after waiting for hours. Within this process, an informal distribution system operates inside the pumps, where there is apparently no transparent register or public oversight.

Therefore, we urge the district administration, mobile courts, and relevant authorities to investigate this issue promptly and ensure uninterrupted fuel supply to the public through transparent and effective monitoring at the pumps.
