Bangladesh Petroleum Corporation (BPC) chairman Md Rezanur Rahman has said that currently the country has 1,36,000 metric tons of fuel oil in reserve.

Speaking to reporters on Tuesday at the BPC Bhaban in Karwan Bazar, Rahman said the authorities are considering alternative fuel markets in light of the ongoing war situation.

However, he assured that there is no possibility of price hike given the existing stock levels.
Currently, the country has diesel for 14 days, octane for 28 days, petrol for 15 days, furnace oil for 93 days and jet fuel for 55 days.

The BPC chairman reiterated that the government is closely monitoring the situation to maintain stable supply and pricing in the domestic market.
