Renowned actor and singer Fazlur Rahman Babu has undergone a successful open-heart surgery after suffering a heart attack earlier this month.
According to sources, the actor was admitted to a hospital in Dhaka after experiencing a cardiac episode on February 16. He was initially taken to a private hospital, but as his condition showed little improvement, he was later transferred to another medical facility for advanced treatment.
Following medical examinations, including an angiogram, doctors detected a severe blockage in his heart. On February 19, he successfully underwent open-heart surgery upon the advice of his physicians.
Currently, Babu remains under close observation by doctors, and his physical condition is reported to be stable and improving.
Artist Kamruzzaman Sagar in a Facebook post confirmed the development. He stated that after the surgery, Babu is under intensive care and is doing better than before.
