Larijani says Iran ready for long‑term war unlike US

Secretary of Iran’s National Security Council Ali Larijani, said in a post on social media that the country stands prepared to defend itself in a prolonged war, unlike the US, reports Tasnim News agency.

“As in the past 300 years Iran has not been the initiator of war, and our brave armed forces have never launched an attack except for defense, we will resolutely defend ourselves and our six‑thousand‑year of civilization regardless of the costs, and we will make enemies regret their miscalculations,” Larijani said in his post on X.

Larijani went on to say that Iran is prepared to defend itself in a prolonged war, unlike the US, highlighting the country’s deterrence posture and firm stance against tyranny.
