JU to get 19 days Eid Holiday

Jahangirnagar University (JU) will observe a 19-day holiday on the occasion of the holy month of Ramadan, Shab-e-Qadr, Jumu’atul Wida, Eid-ul-Fitr and Independence and National Day.

“The holiday will run from March 10 to March 25,” said acting registrar A B M Azizur Rahman on Monday through a press release.

During this period, weekend and evening programmes will also remain closed.
As March 27 and 28 fall on Friday and Saturday, the regular weekly holidays, the university will resume all academic and administrative activities on March 29.

Notably, the university will suspend academic activities for a continuous 19 days with the combined declared holidays.
