Unidentified youth’s body recovered in Madaripur

Police recovered the body of an unidentified youth from Madaripur Sadar upazila on Monday morning.

The identity of the deceased is yet to be known.

According to locals, they spotted the body lying by the roadside in Dakkhin Dudhkhali area under Kalikapur union in the upazila and informed police.

Being informed, police recovered the body and sent it to Madaripur General Hospital morgue for an autopsy.

Madaripur Sadar Model Police Station officer-in-charge (OC) Abul Kalam Azad confirmed the incident and suspected that the deceased may have been murdered during the night and the perpetrators disfigured his face before fleeing the scene.

Police are continuing their investigation to determine the motive behind the killing and to apprehend those responsible, added the OC.
