US Ambassador Christensen extends greetings on Int'l Mother Language Day

US Ambassador to Bangladesh Brent Christensen has extended his greetings to the people of Bangladesh in Bangla on the occasion of National Martyrs' Day and International Mother Language Day,

In a video message posted on the official Facebook page of the US Embassy Dhaka on Saturday, the ambassador said, ''Greetings to all on the great Ekushey. My profound respect to the language martyrs. Language defines our culture.'' 

He further noted that February 21 teaches people to speak their own language and remember their history and emphasised US solidarity with the Bangladeshi people on this day.
