Local Government, Rural Development and Cooperatives Minister Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir has launched a website to receive information about extortion and other crimes in his home district of Thakurgaon.
Fakhrul, lawmaker from Thakurgaon-1, urged residents of the constituency to directly inform him of any incidents of extortion, land grabbing, injustice, crime or other problems through the website.
In a Facebook his post on Thursday, the minister wrote that people from any area of Thakurgaon-1 can report any form of extortion, illegal occupation, wrongdoing or other issues directly to him via the website.
He also mentioned that since the website’s inauguration on January 7, numerous messages have already been received. His team is currently compiling the messages and will respond soon.
