Tarique Rahman to meet Charmonai Pir this evening

BNP Chairman Tarique Rahman meets Mufti Syed Muhammad Rezaul Karim, popularly known as Charmonai Pir, on Monday evening.

The courtesy meeting is scheduled to be held at the central office of Islami Andolan at Noakhali Tower in Purana Paltan, said BNP media cell member Shayrul Kabir Khan.

Earlier on Sunday, Tarique Rahman visited the residences of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer Dr Shafiqur Rahman and National Citizen Party (NCP) Convener Nahid Islam.

According to political analysts, these meetings with leaders of various Islamic and political parties before the formation of the government could be part of a strategy for future coordination and strengthening relations.
