Govt cancels Delhi High Commission press minister’s contract

The government on Sunday terminated the contract of Faisal Mahmud, minister (press) at Bangladesh High Commission in Delhi, India.

A notification issued by Public Administration Ministry, signed by Senior Assistant Secretary Mohammad Mamun Shibly, confirmed the decision.

According to the notification, the contract was cancelled for the remaining period in accordance with Clause 8 of the contractual agreement between the government and Faisal Mahmud.
The order, described as being in the public interest, takes immediate effect.
