Unidentified body recovered from Rajbari bus terminal

Police recovered the body of an unidentified man from Daulatdia bus terminal in Rajbari district on Sunday morning.

The identity of the deceased is yet to be known, believed to be around 60.

According to local sources, the deceased, described as a mentally unstable individual, had been roaming around the bus terminal and nearby railway station for several days and regularly spent nights in the area.

He was reportedly sleeping at the spot on Saturday night and is believed to have died sometime before dawn.

Later, his body was found near the toll counter behind the terminal and police recovered his body.

Goalanda Ghat Police Station officer-in-charge (OC) Md Mominul Islam confirmed the death and said that preparations were underway to send the body to Rajbari General Hospital for an autopsy.

Further details would be known after receiving the autopsy report, added the OC.
