Preparations for the 13th National Parliament Election and the referendum have entered the final stage, with the dispatch of ballot papers to polling centers across the country now underway.
According to the Election Commission's pre-determined plan, ballot boxes will reach major cities, including Dhaka, by Wednesday evening. Meanwhile, ballot papers, boxes and all other necessary voting materials will be dispatched to polling centers outside Dhaka by this night.
The EC sources confirmed this on Wednesday morning.
The presiding officers in charge of the centre and law enforcement personnel began arriving at the school in the morning.
The Election Commission has announced that nearly 9,58,000 members of law enforcement agencies have been deployed nationwide on the day of the parliamentary election and the referendum.
Physical voting will be conducted at 42,659 centres. Postal ballots will be counted at 299 centres.
