A total of 4,81,185 expatriate ballots cast through the “Postal Vote BD” mobile application for the 13th National Parliamentary Election and the Referendum 2026 have so far arrived in Bangladesh, election officials said on Wednesday.
Meanwhile, 5,15,619 overseas voters have already completed voting using the app. Salim Ahmad Khan, Team Leader of the OCV-SDI project on expatriate voter registration, confirmed the figures while briefing reporters.
He said that 7,66,862 ballots registered through the app had been dispatched to expatriate destination countries. Of these, 5,28,579 voters had received their ballots, and 5,15,619 had completed voting as of 9:15 AM on Wednesday.
According to him, 5,07,327 ballots had been submitted to post offices or designated ballot boxes abroad, while 4,81,185 ballots have so far reached Bangladesh.
On the domestic front, the Election Commission (EC) has sent postal ballots to 7,60,898 registered in-country postal voters (ICPV).
EC data show that by 9:15 AM, 6,10,650 domestic voters had received their ballots via the Postal Vote BD app. Of them, 5,80,665 had completed voting and 5,61,139 had submitted their ballots to post offices or ballot boxes.
Salim Ahmad Khan further stated that a total of 15,27,760 voters—both expatriate and domestic—registered to cast their votes in the 13th National Parliamentary Election and the Referendum through the mobile application.
